Feature articles are 5-7,000 words plus references, figures and tables. If your manuscript exceeds 7,000 words contact the editor prior to submission at Clare.Hocking@AUT.ac.nz

Prepare your manuscript in separate files. 1. Title, author details and address for correspondence. 2. Title, abstract, key words, text and references. 3. Figures and Tables. Submit simultaneously to Clare.Hocking@AUT.ac.nz and JOSsecretary@UniSA.edu.au

Artwork for figures, diagrams and electronic photographs must be a minimum of 300dpi. Submit figures and diagrams in separate files in the programme in which they were generated. Do not paste figures, diagrams or photographs into word documents.

Discussion (Theoretical) papers should refer to the origins or history of ideas, philosophies and theories presented. Ensure that a logical argument is presented with reference to the material selected. Explain where necessary any expert opinion which is not considered in the study. Ensure that your position in the discussion is clear and that the argument presented is logical and balanced.

Research papers (qualitative and quantitative) should include a brief literature review from a variety of perspectives and describe the progress through origins, basic concepts and development of ideas to the stated position. The research question should be obvious from the introductory review of literature. Include a description of the steps in the research method and refer to the validity and reliability. In the description of the findings, state the data analysis methods, the results and outcome. Present results in figure or table format to aid clarity. The concluding paragraph summarises the paper.
