Articles on widely different topics related to the subject are welcomed, from disciplines such as anthropologists, ethnologists, ethnologists, human geographers, occupational psychologists, occupational therapists, sociologists, and social biologists, any discipline, in fact, which has a humanistic view and could contribute to the study of occupation.
Articles should be relevant to the subject of the Journal. In general, 'Feature Articles' may be up to 7,000 words plus figures and tables. Articles up to 3,000 words are accepted as 'Comment'.
The title of the article should reflect the exploration of the subject under discussion. The abstract should be limited to 150 words or less. Introduce the subject briefly in the first paragraph. Include details of the relevance of the subject to occupational science and outline the study method. Do not include references in the introduction. Articles which discuss occupational therapy should be submitted to an Occupational Therapy journal.
Artwork for diagrams and photographs should be black and white (not colour) and of high quality with excellent definition (electronic .tif file). All illustrations and tables should be fully captioned, and on separate pages.
Manuscripts should be submitted in triplicate, and double-spaced. Accepted manuscripts must be submitted via email to the Editorial Office. Details of the author(s) name, affiliation, address, phone no., fax no. and email address should appear on a separate cover page, and only on this page, to ensure anonymity in the review process. Include, also on a separate page, a short abstract and a biographical resume on the author(s) and up to four keywords, preferably those used in the Thesauri of Psychological or Sociological Index Terms.
