What is the Canadian Society of Occupational Scientists?
The CSOS is an incorporated not-for-profit organization, consisting of individuals from a variety of fields – sociology and anthropology, business and economics, occupational therapy, and others – who have an interest in research on human occupation.
CSOS Membership
Membership Year January – December
CSOS membership will help occupational science in Canada to gain visibility and viability as a field of inquiry. Funds will be used to develop a Seed Fund for research proposal development, and to support CSOS. Benefits of membership and contributions to CSOS will grow in time. At present, you gain:
- Membership in an interesting, new, interdisiciplinary, academic community with potential applications to health services, education, and other areas including but not limited to occupational therapy;
- CSOS Newsletters, 2 per year at present;
- Option for membership combined with a full subscription (3 issues) to the Journal of Occupational Science, on-line and hard copy, payable any time of the year in Canadian funds;
- Discounted registration at Canadian Occupational Science Symposia.
